영어의 5형식 구조

1형식	S+V	완전자동사
2형식	S+V+SC	불완전자동사
3형식	S+V+O	완전타동사
4형식	S+V+IO+DO	수여동사
5형식	S+V+O+OC	불완전타동사

 

2형식

나는 -이다, 너는-이다 와 같이 묘사, 소개 , 설명, 평가 할 때 자주 쓰인다. 

S는 C이다 로 해석

 

C : 보어

보어 자리에 올 수 있는 것

 

1. 명사 대명사 - ~이다 : 주어는 보어이다

2. to부정사 동명사 ~하는 것이다 : 주어는 보어이다

3. 명사절 ~라는 사실이다 : 주어는 보어이다

명사류 : 주어=보어 동격으로 해석 ( 주어는 보어이다) <주격보어>

4. 형용사 분사 ~하다 : 주어는 보어하다

<주격보어>

1. 명사 대명사 - ~이다 

It is mine.

You are my best friend

This is she.

 

2. to부정사 동명사 ~하는 것이다 

My goal is buying a new car.

My resolution is to learn Spanish.

The best way to be successful is to focus on one goal at a time.

The secret is to love somebody sincerely.

 

3. 명사절 ~라는 사실이다

The problem was he was lying about everything!

 

<형용사류 보어>

4. 형용사 분사 ~하다 : 주어는 보어하다

C자리에 형용사, 분사 : 주어는 보어하다

1. 형용사

The exam is so difficult.

Don't be so hard on yourself

She is intelligent and sophistiicated

 

2.분사(현재분사/과거분사)

- 현재분사 (~하는중인/~하는)

The game is so exciting

Taking a test is so boring

Learning about cultural different is interesting.

- 과거분사 (~된/~진/받은)

I am so lost. 나 완전 멘붕이야

He is interested on you

I am tired of your behavior

We were so exhausted after working out.

 

 

대표적인 2형식 동사

추측동사	~처럼 보이다	seem appear
변화동사	~한 상태가 되다	become get fall go grow make prove turn run come
상태유지동사	~한 상태를 유지하다	remain hold keep stand stay

하나씩 자세히 살펴보도록 하자

 

seem appear

주어가 ~한 상태처럼 보인다라고 추측하는 표현. 영어권에서는 돌려말하는 것을 선호하기 때문에 많이 쓰이는 동사.

명사를 보어로 받을때 전치사 like를 함께 써주어야 한다. seem이 훨씬 더 많이 쓰임

 

seem의 쓰임

His house seems luxurious.	seem+adj - ~한 상태로 보인다.
He seems like a homeless man.	seem like + 명사 : ~ 인 것처럼 보인다.
You seem to know about something.	seem to V ~하는 것처럼 보인다
It seems that he wants to keep distance from you.	seem that S + V : S가 V하는 것처럼 보인다.

헷갈리기 쉬운 2형식동사 , make stay grow stand keep

3형식에 자주 쓰이지만 2형식으로도 쓰이가도 한다. 

 

make

2형식 : ~가 되다, 3형식 : ~를 만들다

You will make a great pilot. - 2

stay

2형식 : ~한 상태를 유지하다, 1형식 : ~에 머물다

I stayed calm - 2

I would stay with you, -1

 

grow

2형식 : ~한 상태가 되다, 1형식 : 자라다. 3형식:~를 키우다

Her face grow red - 2

She grew up so much -1

She grows flowers - 3

 

stand

2형식 : ~한 상태를 유지하다, 1형식 : 서 있다.

This house stood empty for a long time- 2

I will stand by your side -1

 

유사보어

1형식, 수동태 등 뒤에 일반보어 인 것처럼 와서 붙는 애들

명사(~로서), 형용사(~한채로), Ving(~하면서), PP(~되어서)

잘못된 문법이지만., 널리 쓰이면서 대중적으로 자리 잡음

1형식에 쓰이는 유사보어

He died a hero

He returned smiling

The empire will fall decayed.

 

수동태 문장에 쓰이는 유사보어

they got killed young.
