영어를 더 멋있게 말하는 요소들! 

부정	not 없이 더 복잡하게 아니라고 표현
강조	자리를 굳이 바꾸자
도치	매우를 더 어렵게 표현
생략	반복을 더줄여
삽입	말하다가 끼어들기

 

부정부사 not 외에도,,

not only A but also B : A뿐만 아니라 B도

The car is not only economical but very comfortable to drive

 

never

현재시제 - 보통 절대 ~를 하지 않는다. 

He is never late. 그는 결코 늦는법이 없어

완료시제  - 과거~현재까지 ~한 경험이 전혀 없다.

She has never been to Korea

 

neither

대명사로 쓰면 - 둘 다 아니다 라는 뜻

Neither of you are correct, 너희 둘 다틀렸어

Me neither! 문당 끝에 붙이면 ~도 아니다 , 나도 아니다!

I am neither rich nor poor 부사로 쓰이는 경우 A, B도 아니다.

 

rarely = hardly = seldom 거의 ~않다 

They seldom see each other these days

 

few + 명사(가산) : 명사가 거의 없다.  = little

He has few personal flaws. 그는 개인적인 결함이 거의 없다. 

There are few cockroaches in my house

 ****a few + 복수명사 : 몇몇의~라는 뜻 = a little+불가산명사(조금~있다)

I met a few people who know the meaning of the song.

I had a little money.
